İHSAN DOĞRAMACI FAMILY HEALTH FOUNDATION
A foundation of the World Health Organization (Geneva)

The İhsan Doğramacı Family Health Foundation was established in 1980 on the initiative and with funds provided by İhsan Doğramacı. The founder had signed the Constitution of WHO at the International Health Conference held in New York in 1946. The foundation was originally called the İhsan Doğramacı Child Health Foundation; the name was changed in 1996 to emphasize the importance of the family to child health.

Purpose of the Foundation: To promote and raise the standard of family health by acknowledging individuals who have given distinguished service in the field of family health. This it does by awarding the İhsan Doğramacı Family Health Foundation Prize.

Administration of the Foundation: The foundation is administered by its administrator, the Director-General of the World Health Organization.
